Motivational Mondays #15: Season Of Thanksgiving

Welcome to Motivational Mondays!

First things first, what is Motivational Mondays?

Just like it sounds, to motivate, to empower, and to encourage you on the first day of a fresh week. I don't know about you but Mondays can be a drag for me, so sometimes words of encouragement and positivity are helpful to start my day off right.

Motivational Monday's topic is:

Season of Thanksgiving

With praise and thanksgiving, they sang to the Lord: “He is good; his love toward Israel endures forever.” And all the people gave a great shout of praise to the Lord because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid.

Ezra 3:11

It’s that time of the year where the family travels far and wide to gather together around the table and fellowship together. Everyone eats dinner and then they gather around the television to watch football while making room for dessert. It’s in these moments, however, that we forget to be thankful or show thankfulness to God.

As Thanksgiving approaches I pray that you and your family remain safe, covered, and protected in the midst of this pandemic. I know a lot of people are getting anxious because they want to be with their families and go to social gatherings but please remain safe as we draw near this holiday season.

Stay focused on the positive rather than the current outcome of this year unfolds. Be thankful that you are still alive and well, and give yourself credit for what you have and had to endure this year alone. You are doing great and that's something to celebrate this season of thanksgiving.

One fond memory that I remember growing up is before my family ate dinner for thanksgiving, each person had to list at least one thing that they were thankful for this year that God blessed them with. This year I pray that we have an abundance of blessings and things that we are thankful for.

What Are You Thankful For?

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our “God is a consuming fire.”

Hebrews 12:28-29
